Mia Richter-Weinstein
Mia has been a passionate student of music for most of her life, beginning at Sydney Children’s Choir in 2015 and carrying on her music education into the later years of high school where she excelled in HSC music.
Mia’s main instruments are harp and ukulele. She started ukulele in 2016 at the age of 11 which she continued to play through high school and started teaching as she began university.
Through BASE Music, she has taken on a handful of keen ukulele students of all ages who she encouraged to take a curious approach to their musical studies. To do this, she likes to encourage self-directed learning by cultivating the passion of her students and planning lessons around songs they know and like so they can find joy in their lessons even when they’re challenging.
Mia aims to help students become passionate about their instrument and confident in their abilities, improve their technique and eventually build a performance-ready repertoire.
Mia provides ukulele, harp, music theory and composition lessons in South Sydney, the Inner West, South West Sydney, Western Sydney, Lower North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, Sutherland Shire and Sydney CBD including the following suburbs:
