Nick Chung

Nick is a talented and versatile multi-instrumentalist specialising in Acoustic, Electric, and Bass guitar. He has been playing since the age of 16 and brings over five years of live performance experience across a wide range of musical settings. Nick is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Sonic Arts) at the University of New South Wales and plans to further his studies with a postgraduate Master of Education.

As an active performer, Nick has played in multiple bands across genres including Jazz, Funk, Rock, and Soul/R&B, performing in contemporary, live, and corporate environments. He is also an experienced sound engineer and is currently completing a Certificate III in Music (Sound Production) at TAFE Ultimo. In addition to band performances and recitals, Nick has worked as a session musician, showcasing his adaptability, technical skill, and positive, professional mindset.

Nick has been teaching since early 2024 and works with students of all skill levels, ranging in age from 5 to 65+, including students with special needs. With previous experience as a PE teacher for children and teenagers aged 6–18, he has a strong understanding of how to engage, motivate, and support young learners. Nick is passionate about sharing his love of music and combines real-world industry experience with an encouraging, student-focused approach to help learners of all ages grow in confidence and ability.
