Ravi T-Ray

Ravi is a talented Sydney-based pianist, composer, and music educator with a growing reputation in the local music scene. A recent graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, he specialises in private events, group and solo performances, and music tutoring for students of all ages, while also releasing his own original music.

Ravi began his musical journey 10 years ago with a focus on jazz piano, and over the years his style has expanded to encompass classical, rock, pop, reggae, RnB, and more. As a versatile and adaptive educator, he tailors lessons to each student’s ability and musical goals, helping learners explore their own creative direction. With five years of teaching experience, Ravi has worked with students in both private and public lessons and has led ensembles of various sizes. He welcomes learners of all backgrounds and levels.

In 2023, Ravi co-founded the 10-piece jazz ensemble Mosaic, a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to showcasing original works by Australian composers under 25. Mosaic’s debut album, Where We Are Now, was released in October 2024, debuting at #2 on the ARIA Jazz & Blues chart and #4 on the AIR 100% Independent Albums chart. The ensemble was also recognized as the 2024 2MBS Fine Music Sydney Artist in Residence.

Passionate about sharing his love of music, Ravi is committed to inspiring the next generation of musicians. His lessons combine technical skill, creativity, and a genuine enthusiasm for music, encouraging students to develop confidence, explore new genres, and discover the joy of making music.
